This week I learned to expect the unexpected. Not only is it the week of Halloween, but many of my professors decided to surprise me with unexpected homework and tests that are due at the beginning of next week. The homework is understandable because professors can do what they want, but what I really learned was how scared I am of chainsaws. My boyfriend and I went to a haunted house and I thought the entire thing was kind of funny and stupid until the end when I got chased by a chainsaw man. I was terrified. Looking back at it, it was funny the way I reacted, but at the time I was nervous. I guess what I learned is to expect the unexpected and know that things can jump out and surprise you at anytime. Even when you are at a haunted house and you know you are there to get scared. I need to learn to take things one step at a time and realize I always need to be on my toes and expect the unexpected.
Haha I have a love hate relationship with scary things. It is like you kind of expect it but yet it still surprises you. In like I think people spend too much time trying to plan out every move when sometimes life does hand you a few surprises! Rolling with the punches is much easier said than done though. How are you planning on doing that? Any secret advice? :)
